Mattias Engvall

Growing up in a small town in Sweden, Mattias was introduced to electronic dance music in the mid ninetees through a radio show hosted by Calle Dernulf.
He became increasingly inspired by the edgier, drum driven technoscene emerging in Stockholm at the turn of the century headed by Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch and Joel Mull, and finally started making music of his own. Since 2001 he has tried to combine the ruthless mechanic rythms of swedish drumtechno with the atmosphere and attitude of the Birmingam-esque school. Already appeared with his music on labels like ARMS and Cyoworks.
